BUFFALO, N.Y. — Last week the Buffalo Sabres hosted a rookie scrimmage for their prospects.
The game was an opportunity for the Sabres’ prospects to demonstrate their mettle and make a case for being considered for the roster in the 2014-15 NHL season.
This was the third year in a row that the ice was installed during the summer and the development camp has been held at the home of the Sabres.
The goals of the camp are to show prospective players the fundamental ideas of the Sabres’ playing system and expose them to the conditioning programs of an NHL player. Camp participants also study and examine NHL rules and the successful techniques a player must possess to become a professional athlete.
In this second BSOG article, we feature the skaters in the scrimmage won by the Sabres White team 5-1 over the Blue team.
